I wouldn’t if I were you. You will fracture the stone and pavers in areas unintended. This also sounds very unsafe.
A better alternative would be to cut the pavers with a wet saw. You can rent a wet saw at your local tool rental business. To “face” and size rock, use a two pound short handled sledge hammer and/or a brick hammer.
